Approval of service crossing route :.

In case the service is of wide – ranging such as connection of electricity or water lines or telephone for distance of more than 1K.M , must obtain permit for connection of service from Research & technical Studies department in the stage of designing of the work .

Approval of route issued only for legally registered consultant Offices , allowed by virtue of this registration to carry out such activities .

Issuing permit of Excavation :.

Must obtain excavation permit for any excavation out side the plot land .

Permit for transferring of heavy load .

The specialized companies in transferring of goods , equipment or trucks involve in such one or the two cases mention below , required to be transferred with Muscat Governorate should obtain prior permit to transfer such heavy loads .

Cases required to obtaining permit for transferring heavy load

  • The load dimension ( height & width ) will be over the permissible limit or its height exceed 5.5 meters or it width increasing one road route direction normally between 3.5- 3.6 meter .
  • The load should be heavy in such away that the total load exceeds one of the carrier ( prime mover or the trailer) axel allowed . should not exceed Ton 13.5 at each axel , in this case must change the number of the truck axels or changing the distribution of the load in such away that the axel load not exceed the allowed limit .
Fines: R.O.P will issue the violations for the breached companies to the procedures and conditions stated in the permit .

Remark: In all circumstances ,It is not allowed to transfer the heavy load on the flyover bridges .
