Documents to be submitted with the application forms:

  • Application forms for registration of a company in the market.
  • A copy of the Commercial Registration + certificate of membership to the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • A copy of the computer printout papers, showing the activity of the sale of vegetables and fruits.
  • A copy of owner specimen of signature.
  • A copy of the ID card.

Procedures adopted by the section to complete the transaction and the provision of the service:

  • Receipt of the application and registration of the application.
  • Approve/ reject the application.
  • Notice the company with the approval/rejection of the application.
  • Provide location or place or storage in the case of the desire of the company and provide vacancies.

Service fees:

Currently free of charge.

  • Receiving the application and submitted it to the Director of Administration.
  • Notify the applicant about the action being taken on his application.
  • Delivery of cooling Warehouse in the case of the availability of vacancies.
  • Keeping the application within the similar application in the absence of vacancies at that time.

Service fees:

  • Depending on the size of the cooling warehouse.
  • large for RO 420, medium for RO 360 and small for RO 220.

A general description of the service:

After getting the place in the market, the farm products can be displayed for the purpose of sale.

Method of applying for the service:

  • It can be studied and decide upon it after completing of the procedures.

Documents to be submitted with the application:

  • A letter from the applicant of the place.
  • A copy of the ownership of the farm + farm agricultural possession
  • A copy of the ID card of the applicant + copy of labor card.

Procedures adopted by the section to complete the transaction and provide the service:

  • Receiving the application and submitted it to the Director of Administration.
  • Notify the applicant with the approval and handing over the place.
  • Keeping the application incase no place is available.

Service fees:

RO 30 per month.

The functions of the section:

  • Issuing of the leases for all the shops in the market and review it before approval.
    • Collection and follow-up of rents and other fees and fines.
    • Remits all the market revenues in the bank market and it follow-up on daily basis.
    • Coordination, follow-up and liaison with the necessary parties to complete the works.
    • Preparation of periodic reports pertaining to the section.

Technical Affairs Section:

The functions of the section:

  • Periodic maintenance of all facilities at the market (refrigerators, stores).
    • Provide the necessary requirements (spare parts, equipment and electrical appliances).
    • Maintenance of streets and indicative signboards of the streets.
    • Maintenance of air-conditioners and painting of the facilities.
    • Maintenance of potable water supplies and sanitation.
    • Maintenance of the electricity connections and phone lines.
    • The preparation of periodic reports on the section.
    • Carryout the carpentry and plumbing works.
    • Preparation of daily reports on bending issues.
    • Supervising the work of the maintenance team and distribution of their roles.
    • Electricity connections and phone lines.
    • To ensure the safety of all the pipelines of portable water and sanitation.
    • Any other work assigned to the Section.

Hygiene Affairs Section:

This section undertake the following functions:

Supervision of the following sections:

 
  • The works of inspection and control of the food in the market through:
    • Preparing the inspection programs commensurate with the nature of the market work and to participate in the field inspections.
    • Initiate the legal action established against the violators of the local order and under the supervision of the market management.
    • Safety and quality of food, vegetables and fruit on arrival to the market and during the storage and display for sale.
    • Oversee the withdrawal of food samples and follow-up results.
    • Supervision of the destruction in the event of the availability of food unfit for human consumption.
    • Follow-up the requirements and health facilities required for the activities of the commercial stores.
    • Joint coordination with other governmental departments such as: customs and the Ministry of Agriculture.
    • Follow-up to the issuance and renewal of municipal licenses and health cards for the market workers.
    • Inspection and control of food in refrigerators, commercial shops and sale shade.
    • The issuance of the health and hygiene requirements approved for the commercial stores, vehicles and refrigerators.
    • Destruction of corrupt food in the stores, refrigerators and vehicles.
    • Issuance of destruction certificates approved for the corrupt food for the companies and refrigerators on the company request.
  • General cleaning works in the market through:
    • Establishing cleaning programs, that commensurate with the nature of the work in the market.
    • Providing the tools and equipment used in general cleaning.
    • Division of labor, tools and containers used in the collection and identify their locations and the number of transportation for each complex.
    • Field Follow-up for all the facilities, squares and toilets.
    • Follow-u the market washing and cleaning works.
    • Initiate the legal action against offenders.
  • Best control and rodents fighting in the market through:
    • Development of control programs and follow-up field operations.
    • Distribution of workers, pesticides and poisons.
    • Control of breeding places of insects and the sites of rodents presence.
    • Maintenance of tools, equipments and storage of pesticides and poisons, and the identification of annual requirements.
    • Coordination with other parties relevant to the control works.
    • Joint coordination with the concerned in health affairs.
    • Management and organization of records, forms and files necessary to complete the work.
    • Preparation of daily, monthly and annual reports.
    • Preparation of adequacy reports to the staff and workers of the section.
    • Any other work assigned to the section.
