  • The applicant submits his application ( the building contractors on behalf of the landlord )and the application had already been approved by the owner of the building permit is one of the  engineering consultancy offices
 
After filling  the specified Form
  • Application to start the construction  , the part of the request of an address (the form is worth 250 Baisas)
  • Form of billboards/panels 
The  required documents
  •   Original copy of the  valid building permit .
     
  • Original drawings signed and a copy of them (site plan)
     
  • Copy of the property Title
     
  •  Copy of the plot Karooki.
     
  •  The Contract signed between the landlord and the contractor 
     
  •  Address of the property
     
  • Original demarcation marks approved  by the buildings inspector  and (Masa)
     
  •  Endorsement of the Consultant ( shall be on the application form)
     
  • Endorsement of  the contractor ( shall be on the application form)
     
  • Documents of the contractor (Copy of affiliation  to the chamber and Commercial, the specimen Signature and the computer printouts)

  • Location :Building  permit  depart. Registration  division  . 
  • Time:  from  8:00 Am  up to  12:00P.M

 
  •  The qualified employee in the follow-up department registers the Application  form and revises it .

The applicant pays the fees decided as following :
 

Fees of starting construction for each floor
  •  R.O  5
Amounts of the insurance deposit per square metre
  • 500 Baisas

Fees of workers’ accommodation (according to the category of the contractor ) Excellent
  • R.O 200
Fees of workers’ accommodation (according to the category of the contractor ) First
  • R.150
Fees of workers’ accommodation (according to the category of the contractor ) Second
  • R.O 100
Fees of workers’ accommodation (according to the category of the contractor ) Third

  • After payment , the contractor makes the fence of the building.
     
  • The contractor informs Muscat Municipality  on the Completion of the fence of the building and provides a photograph  of the signboard  and asks the Municipality to send an inspector to visit the siteto complete the proceedings of the Permit .
     
  • Then the inspector visits the site and notes down his remarks in the attached Application form by approval or refusal .
     
  •  Depending on the inspector’s remarks, the qualified employee  issues the following :
  1.  a  start building permit 
     
  2. Letter to the person in charge  of filling to submit it to fill  the remains of building waste.
     
  3.  The contractor starts  the stages of construction.
     
  4.  After the Completion of each stage (foundation, beams, ground tiles of the ground floor, tiles of the ground floor, painting, etc..) the contractor makes an Application to visit the site and that by a letter from the Consultant.
     
  • At each stage, the inspector visits the site and writes his remarks in the building permit register
