Muscat Municipality implements the program of “Preparing and writing technical reports” for ITS engineers
Yesterday morning, the training program "preparing and writing technical reports" launched with participation of 30 engineers of the various units and directorates of Muscat Municipality. The Qualification and Training Management, in collaboration with the of the Omani Engineers Society, oversee the implementation of a five-day session where the trainer and professor, Dr. Mohamed Fathi El Ma`dawy, the senior expert of preparation of the technical reports deliver the lectures.
Objective of the program
The program aims to provide participants with the basic knowledge for the preparation of technical reports, its importance and the basic role in work, in addition to informing them about the various stages of preparation, enabling them to use statistical data and graphs in reports, and developing the capacities of participants in the effective presentation and delivery.
Subject matters
The 25-hour program deals with several subject matters, including, among others, the concept of technical reports, their types, preparation curricula and importance, as well as the requirements of technical writing, and technical organization of the reports in terms of both form and content, the elements of successful technical reports, and the technical requirements of the report. It contains certain items; the most important are dealing with the data, graphs, tables, and symbols, compilation and description of the data and setting the quality of the reports.
The program also includes psychological factors in the presentation of technical reports, methods of presentation, discussion and use of audio and visual aids, the conditions of good summary of the technical report and the axis of information technology and technical reports. The program includes setting up intensive scientific applications, as well.
