Today, A Press Conference On The Ongoing Preparations For The Launch Of Muscat Festival 2012
The main organizing Committee of Muscat Festival 2012, on Sunday at 11:00 am at the Wedding Hall in Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat, holds a press conference about the ongoing preparations for the launch of Muscat Festival 2012, chaired by HE Eng. Sultan bin Hamdoon Al-Harithy, the Chairman of Muscat Municipality and the Chairman of the Main organizing Committee of the Festival. He is to make a statement about the major brand new events and activities as well as the ongoing preparations for the launch of the Festival in reference to the details of the events, locations, duration, and the activities associated with the Festival. The statement also includes the preparations of the Festival organizing committees.
At end of last December, Muscat Municipality, on the other hand, closed Al-Quiram and Al-Naseem Public Parks, which will embrace the events and activities of Muscat Festival 2012 in its 12th session in order to perform some construction work, including maintenance of the utilities in both parks such as the administrative offices, temporary theaters, stores and the commercial and artistic pavilions of the exhibition, in addition to the heritage markets and presentation yards, stores, selling various consumer food, beside the galleries, theaters of acrobatics, artistic and cultural competitions, and other entertainment events.
Muscat Festival is an important social, cultural and tourist manifestation at the local and Arab levels. Its establishment is a tourist attraction on the Arab and international tourism map thanks to the large cohorts attending the events from around the world. The number of visitors to Muscat Festival 2011 locations is up to 1,475.47 visitors, while the number of visitors to Festival websites and Tour of Oman is 1,267.364 visitors approximately.
