The organizing committee of Muscat Festival 2012 exerts great efforts in marketing and promoting the Festival as a key factor to attract tourists coming from inside and outside the Sultanate. In this respect, the Organizing Committee has allocated a special office to promote tourism at Muscat International Airport. Regarding the role played by the center, we held the following interview with Mr. Hamad bin Salem Al-Rasbi, General Manager Assistant of Promotion and Investment and Chairman of the Promotion and Finance affairs Committee in Muscat Festival 2012.
Mr. Hamad Al-Rasbi said, "The primary objective of establishing the office is to inform the tourists arriving to Muscat about the Festival events, sites and times through several means; for example, providing them with information manuals and copies of the Festival Guide with labels of the announced events and regulations." He emphasized on the very important role of successful promotion and marketing in making Muscat a first-class tourist destination for many tourists.
Al-Rasbi also said, "The Promotion Office is working on around the clock by six specialists in the field of marketing and promotion of the Oman Tourism College." He praised the real cooperation for the success of the office by the competent authorities e.g. the ROP and Oman Airports Management Company, noting that the Office will continue to work along with Muscat Festival 2012 whose events and activities run until February 23rd, 2012.
