Jordanian Desserts With A Levant Flavor

By Abdullah Al-Rahbi

Visitors of the Jordanian pavilion must stop at the Levant Culinary Corner with its Jordanian privacy of the tasty flavor. The place is witnessing unusual motion, given the high turnout and the unstoppable movement of purchasing of high quality desserts and dishes; the most prominent are likely Swaba Zainab, Balah Al-Sham, Basbousa and cheesy Konafa and Dolma stuffed with rice (Waraq Enab), which are popular desserts in Jordan. These dishes often witness increased turnout there on special occasions. This year, they are involved within the Jordanian pavilion participating in the Pavilion of the Embassies held in Bazaar Market, which is attended by a number of Arab and foreign countries in addition to the Sultanate of Oman.
