The open space at Moarid has seen increased demand by visitors for recreation and physical activity, especially during the evening and on weekends. The municipality has initiated a project to develop and beautify the area at Moarid Street located between Sultan Qabus Road and the Moarid side Street, with a total area of around 2.5 kilometers and an average width of 50 meters.
