The Muscat Municipality Honors Comex 2012 Winners
As part of the Muscat Municipality’s participation in the Information Technology and Communications Exhibition and Conference (Comex 2012), the municipality recently honored the five winners of its daily drawing, who all won a Galaxy Tab device.
The Muscat Municipality’s booth at the conference saw interaction from attendees as they familiarized themselves with the advantages and electronic services offered by the municipality. The municipality’s Information Systems Administration participated in events at the expo with a package of electronic services employed by the municipality in most municipal work. This participation came as part of its efforts to familiarize its beneficiaries of its electronic services.
The booth described the electronic services it provides as well as its new telecom center -1111. It plans to hold workshops as part of the side events that accompany its presentation about the electronic building permits project and the electronic renewal of lease agreements, e-service locations, the iMuscat system, and other e-services.
There was also an explanation of the automatic website developer for the Muscat Municipality’s website (www.mm.gov.om) that features a number of e-services. The site is designed in both English and Arabic as it serves different segments of Omani society. At the municipality’s booth, prizes, pamphlets, and brochures were passed out to expo visitors.
