Today, Muscat municipality organizes the second conference of waste management
Seeking for a green, clean and sustainable environment and by the application of the modern technologies, today, the events of the second international conference will begin, which is organized by Muscat municipality for two days in Oman hall at the hotel of Kasr El-bostan as HE Ahmed ben Abdallh Al-shehhi, minister of regional municipalities and water resources will sponsor that event.
National and international participation:
A selection of the concerned and specialists in the waste management and recycling inside and outside the sultanate will take part in the conference. Six workshops will be set by the presence of national representatives and participants from the ministries of: Ministry of environment and climate affairs, ministry of trade and industry, the regional municipalities and water resources, Sultan Qaboos university, Omani holding company for environmental services (environment), environment society of Oman and experts from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) who represent: Abu Dhabi health authority, Saudi environment society, Arab network for environment and development, UNESCO office in Doha, ESCWA organization and the Egyptian environmental affairs agency as well as ministry officials, private sector representatives and delegations at the regional and global levels from various industry sectors .
as well as the support from leading international organizations as ISEO , ICEC and CIWEM as well as the support provided from leading companies in the waste management at GCCs as Madinat El-khalig company (Bahrain), (Oman) environment company and Al-ahliah (Sharikah ) .
Day sessions
The today`s ceremony includes fragrant verses from Quran, the conference opening speech by HE Eng. Sultan Ben Hamdoun Al-harethi, Muscat municipality mayor and then the sponsor of the event inaugurates the conference-accompanying exhibition, which shows the latest products and innovations in the field of waste management.
After that, the first session under "environmental strategies" begins and then the second session under "waste management experience" as it will discuss many specialized work sheets, visual presentations and experiences on waste management.
