Controlling (1591) Indian egg cardboards prohibited to import

Continuing the intensified inspection campaigns for the health and safety of consumers, the administration of the central citrus market at Muscat municipality in cooperation with the consumer protection authority had controlled and conserved a number of (1591) Indian egg cardboards prohibited to import according to the text of the ministerial decree (250/ 2012), issued on 11/10/ 2012, the ministry of agriculture and fisheries, which had stipulated the prohibition of the import of the live birds and all their derivatives from the republic of India.
These quantities were controlled in cold stores leased to a company operating in the market. As also it has been found that the eggs were Indian and had an external label named (Malaysia) which is contrary to the stipulated rules and regulations. The administration of the market has conserved these quantities for taking the necessary actions.
