Muscat municipality damages 18 tons of feeds, closes 6 shops and seizes street vendors in Siib

within the framework of the continuous inspection system for the markets and the follow-up of buying and selling according to the right and legal frameworks, the department of health affairs of the general directorate of Muscat municipality in Siib seized a number of the street vendors in the state and confiscated the feeds displayed on the roads which are determined with (1500 Kg), which makes them akin to pollution by car exhaust and dust. Also it managed to get reports from the residents of the area and the users of these roads due to harassment and crowdedness which led to some traffic accidents.
In a relevant aspect, the competent officials in Muscat municipality, during the previous week, criticized a number of (1036) visitations for the food establishments and health relevant shops, which led to close (6) shops, edit (49) sanitary violations as a result of not commitment to health requirements. During these visitations, a number of (77) Kg, (88) Kg foodstuff cans unfit for human consumption and 20 tools used in cooking unfit for use have been confiscated .
In the citrus central market , the specialists have made a number of (1041) visitations that led to edit (4) violations, damage (6129) Kg of Batata and (1500) Kg of plum of the total (8755) Kg of the vegetables and fruits unfit for human consumption for being infected with the virtual mold .
Municipality calls ranchers and sponsors of those vendors to not sell their goods on the streets and to take responsibility of the procedures that will be taken in coordination with competent authorities .
