Al Aujrah park serves the goers of the vital movement area between the Sultanate governorates .

Muscat municipality began to implement the park of Al Aujrah next to the turning of Al Sahwah tower in the location heading to Al Batenah governorate and provides it with all facilities and services that meet the needs of the passers and the users of the location due to the vitality ,the active traffic for the taxi cars and meeting the wishes of those who benefit from the available transportation. Al Sahwah tower is regarded as one of the main points for the interchange of the traffic that connect between the governorates of Sharkiah and Al Dakhilyah and between Muscat and Al Batenah .
Municipality implements this park after making a study for the location and making sure of the wide spaces next to it. The detailed designs have been made according to a modern vision. This parks aims at providing a natural breather for those who benefit from the traffic, making it a location ready for relaxation, entertainment and waiting. The target is the comfort of the goers of this location within a package of elements of landscaping, public services, footpaths, seating and others. The location of the park being near to the main street and its breadth add another aesthetic dimension for the goers of this street and give an aesthetic vision element for the location where there are the formats of flowers, reflections of lights and elimination of the visual noise of the location .
Northern Ghabra garden
In a relevant aspect to what the general directorate for a forestation and gardens in Muscat municipality does within the ongoing ambitious plan to implement the project of forty gardens and completing for what has been achieved, Muscat municipality implemented the garden of northern Ghabra which is located in the commercial distract facing the Sultan Qaboos sports complex. The garden has been implemented on a total area of five thousands squared meters. Some parasols have been installed and planted in the landscaping and the palm trees . The garden has added a beautiful luster for the area. Some games which match all the targeted works, especially kids, are installed. The garden has been provided with a hexagonal stadium and the necessary bars. It will serve the dwellers of the residential district as well as the visitors of the commercial district near to the garden. And it has been connected to the street for highlighting the beauty of the garden for those who pass from the side of the street. It is supplied with light, chairs and some parasols and games .
Previously, municipality has implemented the project of forty gardens distributed on all states of the governorates of Muscat, Siib, Bosher, Muttrah, Amerat and Qurayat. There is a future plan for implementing another new package of these public gardens and parks of the city of Muscat. The number of these projects now reaches ( 102 ) gardens, parks and kids` playground which attract the visitors .
Annual flowers in Muscat
Annual flowers are regarded among the most important components of the public parks and gardens, corridors and roads. The kind and type of these flowers differ by the difference of their use and the climate conditions necessary for each type. Caring of flower pots is not an easy matter, they need careful and continuous attention to demonstrate their beauty and continuity in the required shape and for a long time. Among the most important kinds of seasonal flowers in the sultanate are the flowers of Betonia, Seluchia, Arantham, Al mer Gold ,Al Ziniya and other types. Under each types, there is a long list of types in various colors
Breeding : most kinds of flowers breed by seeds; the plants which bloom in winter, their seeds are planted in summer during January and Augustus and for the summer plants, their seeds are planted in March and April .

winter annuals and summer annuals
winter annuals : ـ
They are those flowers planted in winter. Their plantation begins in the arboretum from Augustus and continues in the arboretum for two three weeks, then they are transferred to the location and continue in the ground till the end of March. The most important kind of winter flowers that were planted in the arboretum (( Betonia, Zinya, Seluchia, Gardenia and Karsentum )) .
Summer annuals: ـ
They are planted in summer. Their plantation begins in the arboretum from April and continues to Augustus. Among the most important kinds are : ((Zinya, Mer gold and Salfia ))
