Yesterday morning, a coordination meeting was held between Muscat Municipality and national invest funds in the Sultana in the presence of his Excellency engineer Sultan Bin Hamdon El Harthy, director of Muscat Municipality, and Abdel-Salam Bin Mohammed El Morshedy, executive director of the state general reserve fund to discuss the number of investment opportunities in the development projects in the city including the future planes.
The meeting concentrated on presenting number of projects the seek to develop the city. in addition, to find more work opportunities for the national talents and promoting the income resources in light of the strategic approach to promote the municipality incomes. The most prominent of these projects that was presented in this meeting is:
Hawyat Nagem Tourism project
Hawyat Nagem Tourism project is a full project in the Hawyat Nagem district in Qurayat state, this place features a sea view over Oman sea and contains lots of geographical differences harmonized with this beautiful nature and rock relief, coastal sands, moderated weather besides being on the general route that connect Qurayat and Soure. This project contains a tourism resort that includes number of hotel facilities such as restaurants and cafes in addition to 62 rooms and 20 luxurious suites for residence and recreation. A general part, including chain of circular oases consist of small star parks in lots of places and contains trees and other plants. The design of the buildings inside this district design will be according to circular shape representing one of the star themes.
At the end of the park there will be a rock hole represent the water well that called "Hawyat Nagem". In the meanwhile, there will be a hanged bridges that facilitate the water pass for swimming activities and other recreational, sport and entertainment activities.
Khour Market project

This project is located in the same place as the previous marked. It consists of one hotel and offices with estimated size of rooms and suites about (10170m2). The offices size is estimated about (4909m2)

The shops and marked size is estimated about (4025m2), the parking and loading space is estimated about (8324m2), and its shops, restaurants, cafes, and facilities size (5003m2). The total rooms and suites number is (102).
Improving the central citrus fruits market

The current central fruits and vegetables market in the North Mawaleh unable to provide and support the extension and with its small size it become crowded and overpopulated as there is an increased demand in the service markets. Putting that point in mind, Muscat Municipality is planning to transfer the current fruits and vegetables marked outside the Mawaleh district to the Felge district. It also planes to get benefit of the current market land in the first phase of improvement as a partial market for selling fruits and vegetables in addition to other products. The Muscat Municipality is planning to promote the role of this market as an outlet of the Omany fruit and vegetable products by establishing service facilities in the market via pedestrian alleys and plant some trees to provide shadow and some seats along with cafe and restaurants. It also plans to build a big air conditioned hall for selling fruits and vegetables, ministry and governmental corporations building, service offices, health affairs Lab, mosque, car park area, child entertainment area, and other facilities. The second phase of the improvement included establishing a multi purposes real state facilities, such as offices, residential apartments, commercial shops, and other service facilities. The third phase includes building hotel and commercial stores.
Bulk Market complex in Faleg

A new bulk market will be established for selling fruit and vegetables in the Faleg district in Baraka state on a space (100.000m2), including refrigerator on a space of (21.600m2), dry repositories and filter buildings, refill and packaging on a space of (50.700m2), bidding area, places for selling the fruits and vegetables and onion on a space of (10.000m2), administrative offices include market management office, Oman police station, ministry of agriculture and fish resources building, and Lab offices on a space of (4.000m2), and area for inspecting fruit and vegetables and a scale on a space of (1.200m2), and a fuel station of a space of (1.000m2).
Second hand cars market in Faleg
The total size of space in this project is estimated to (82.500m2) and it includes open galleries for selling second hand cares with a space of (200m2) to (600m2). There will be a full service office attached to that project in addition to car park area for the care to on sale with a roof and other area without roof on a total space of (19.500m2), and galleries for selling brand new cares on a space of (49.500m2). In addition to, a closed galleries and administrative offices for selling and buying second hand cars, car inspection center for inspecting cars before selling it on a space of (4000m2), a dedicated area for selling cars on public bid on a space of (1500m2), residential apartments (8000m2) market support services such as car workshop and car accessories shops along with car lubrication workshops.
The total number of second hand cars galleries is (51) gallery distributed in different places in Muscat governorate. The market, to be built in Faleg district, is aiming to gather the second hand cars galleries in one place away from the streets and public facilities with the appropriate technical conditions, providing the consumer a bigger opportunity to choose between the cars in the galleries with a competitive prices.
The importance of this project is based on the pressing demand to organize the selling and buying process of second hand cars as the current status in these markets has negative reflections on the general view of the city and the convenience of its residences as there is no controls on these markets and the selling and buying process within it.
The entertaining, tourism project in Raml Bosher

There is dedicated space estimated about (300062) square meter specially for the first phase of this project in Raml Bosher state to build on it a natural park, in coordination with the competent authorities in the housing ministry and the environment and weather affairs ministry. Muscat municipality has set a technical as design study regarding the improvement project in the park. These improvement will be harmonic with the natural land scape, sand dunes that the site features and based on the typographies of the place that includes the heights and slopes. The project will include three core elements: General park that contains multi facilities, and a hotel.
Tepholy park project in Muscat

It is an entertainment city for families, children of the citizens, the residents and tourists for entertainment and recreation. This project will be built in the El Sayeeb state on a space of (200.000m2). The city includes a hotel, Rides games, skill games, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, park, multi-purpose commercial stores.
