The Training and qualification department in Muscat municipality is continuing its effort in performing and executing the mass media interacting course in cooperation with the Tamoh institution for consulting studies and training, this course is aiming for training the general managers and circuits managers in different units and circuits in the municipality. In this course, the instructors will include the media expert doctor Mahmoud Abdel-Hady.
This course aim is to provide an introductions and explanation to the participants on the ideal way to interact with the mass media and providing a ground knowledge about the foundations and rules of interacting with the mass media through providing a deep understanding of the mass media and its tools. This course will also provide the participants with the talking skills for the radio and television, in addition to the grounds of interview and hosting and the different methods of them.
The course will handle the interaction mechanize of the mass media, how to prepare yourself for a talk show through psychological preparation and preparing information. in addition, you will get to know the methods of interacting with the host and choose of words in the conversation besides the streamlining in the conversation and how to control yourself and the balance of the conversation. The course will also include an exercises of how to hold a media interview in the spoken, written and visual media means.

The course will include the importance of interacting with mass media and how to interact with: The journal interview, media conference, press release, media campaign, media leaks, public relations, introductory film, and promotional advertisements. Getting to know the different method of journal interviews: Information interviews, subject, opinion, character, information, and how to hold an interview and the different shapes of it: Via phone or satellite, or inside the studio on the host desk (sound bite).
