Muscat municipality damages 6 tons of foods and closes 10 shops and holds some kinds of tea

Muscat municipality , represented in inspection and food control departments, during the last week, made 1076 visitations upon the food establishments and the shops related to public health. They led to closing 10 shops for being not identical to the health requirements in doing the exercise and editing the 108 health violations

Kg and (182) canned foods unfit for human consumption. Through the visitations, a number of (116.5) was damaged in addition to a number of 5 cosmetics and 38 of the tools used in cook and shaving for being unfit consumption.
Office of inspection and food control products in Muscat international airport also damaged 2.714 tons of sheep meat and diary with the participation of the other regulators in the airport for being unfit for human consumption due to bad storage.

Tea Confiscation

Competent in Muscat municipality also , in coordination with the public authority for consumer protection made an urgent generalization by the holding of the tea products from the local sales, the kinds of ( regime royal) and (two wings) according to the expiry dates shown in the attached table as the results of the necessary laboratory analysis proved their non conformity to the accredited Omani standard specification by exceeding the microbiological limits and the high rate of Coli form more than the allowable limit.
Damages the citrus
In the central citrus market, the number of the visitations reached 1033 that led to damaging the different kinds of vegetables and fruits unfit for consumption due to their virtual wilting.
