During the period from (26-30 may), Muscat municipality closes (25 shops) and releases (98) health violations.
The competent officials at the inspection and food control departments have executed a number of (1038) inspection visits during the period from (26-30 may) which contained the food establishments and the public health-related shops. These visitations led to the closure of 25 ) shops and the release of a number of (98) health violations for the failure to implement the health requirements .
They also damaged foodstuffs which were unfit for human consumption and they reached (529) kg and a number of (157) boxes as well as a number of (74) tools used in cooking and hairdressing which were unfit for human consumption.
Through supervision and inspection upon the incoming vegetables and fruits at the central citrus market, a number of (68180.2) kg were damaged, which were unfit for human consumption for being infected with rot and virtual wilt, by executing a number of (1014) visitations .
Muscat municipality also calls the honorable citizens and residents to contact the number (1111) in the case of any comments or concerns.
