Specialists in Muscat Municipality during (from 16- 20 June) made (2189) visitations on food establishments and shops related to Public Health resulted in closing (7) shops and issuing (72) health violations due to non- compliance with health requirements. (47) Kilograms, (91) canned foods and (33) tools used in cooking are found unfit for human consumption so that they are damaged.
In the central citrus market, the specialists made (1051) visitations resulted in issuing (8) violations and damaging (18) tons of potatoes and (17)kilograms of plums out of (1283) kilograms of vegetables and fruits and (3600) eggs unfit for human consumption due to its virtual wilting .
