Muscat Municipality starts awareness campaigns and home visits at Matrh

Awareness and Guidance Office at the General Directorate of Muscat Municipality at Matrh El Kobra in cooperation with Zubaydah Om El Amin School and Rashed Bin El Nazr School starts to organize a summer camp at Matrh state including establishment of number of service, awareness and recreational events, and scientific visits, exhibitions and artifacts.
The camp started in last 23 June with a chain of intensive programs that aims to utilize time of students through a number of programs that have professional, practical and service goals with participation of parents and national community categories.
The camp was distributed to four groups so that it can be organized. The program included workshops in the art of cooking, sewing, vases industry from the remains of the newspapers, and workshop in preparation of brochures, posters and decorative pottery and the work of handicrafts and fine arts.
Salwa bint Mubarak El Hadia, the head of Awareness and Guidance Department at Matrh municipality, explained that the goal of these campaigns is to establish right concepts in minds of youth and generations. In addition, fixing noble values such as hygiene, maintain properties and public facilities, utilize the energies in community serving through organizing campaigns to clean the districts, competitions and lectures concerning reading, internet and their importance in current life, cleanliness, environment and their role in country landscaping. Also organizing campaigns to beauty centers, awareness visits at districts and villages in cooperation with specialists in municipality as well as presenting number of awareness and guidance lectures to public concerning public health and right methods to reserve food and dispose of wastes through safety ways and lectures around spread of rodents and insects and their health and physical harms. The lectures also discussed the ways of their disposal and other phenomena. In addition, they visited the houses of neighborhood and distributed health materials and guidance publications.
Tomorrow Wednesday, there will be an open day event at Zubaydah Om El Amin School to all participating entities and with participation of Muscat municipality. Municipality will provide seedlings, trees and agricultural tools and present a program related to awareness role to public and students. It is worth mentioning that this camp will conclude its activities on the current ninth of July, and an exhibition will be established including all events and the participants and contributing entities will be honored.
