Muscat Municipality opened bridge linking Seeb Public Street with Wadi Al-Arsh Street leading to Seeb market and surrounding areas for the traffic within the project of adding third lane in Seeb. This bridge would distribute traffic flow into all directions especially for those who are heading to and from Seeb market areas or surrounding areas as well as it serves El-Nasr and Al-Fath areas.

Muscat municipality at the same time works hard to accomplish project of third lane addition that extends from intersection of El Moaleh Bridge to Dawar Bait El Baraka at Seeb state at the length of 18 Kg for each direction. The project aims at promoting the capacity of street, making the traffic flow more smoothly, increasing the traffic safety and allowing street to work in all circumstances and climatic conditions.

The goal of current phase (Second) of project is to extend Dawar Kasr El Seeb and Dawar Beet El Baraka as well as concrete establishment in El Gzira El Wasta along the project. This phase will build another bridge for pedestrians linking north Almabalh with south Almabalh and provide all methods necessary for traffic safety along the street in addition to a ferry to transport pedestrians as well as afforestation of public street along the project.

The first phase of this project was opened for the traffic flow at the beginning of this year from intersection of El Moaleh Bridge to intersection of El Khod Bridge in the two ways for a distance estimated to be 4.5 km. the road has been redesigned according to latest international engineering specifications in safety and design roads.

First phase of project included more than (10) concrete ferries distributed in various areas with maximum lengths (3m width and 3m length) to dispose rain water and streamline the flow of valleys flowing in region at 100 years frequency rate in addition to provide project with rainwater drainage channels from street to valleys streams.

In addition, a passageway has been established under the main street for traffic of small and medium-sized vehicles in three sites along the road of this phase. This work was made to facilitate transportation of vehicles between both north side and south road to link free services roads as well as providing project with ground passageway for pedestrians in three places along the road for this phase.

The part (from intersection of El-Moaleh Bridge to intersection of El-Khod bridge) included construction of new bridge at length of (60) meters intersecting public street and South Service street linking South Hail with south Hail in addition to maintenance of existing pedestrian bridge.
This project is considered as one of the most vital and important projects executed by Muscat municipality to reduce traffic congestion on this road that witnesses active traffic flow, notably it links Muscat governorate with El Batna district, one of the densely populated districts in Sultanate. It was put into consideration while designing the project the high smoothing traffic flow without stopping at descend valleys and provide it with all traffic safety methods.
