Muscat Municipality pleases children with "Alqrnakecoh" presents and Traditional hymns
In the attendance of huge number of people with an environment full of cheerfulness, smiles of children and celebration of night of fifteenth day of holy Ramadan month, Muscat Municipality celebrated yesterday in a night where moon illuminated every corner in the place. The presentations surprised the visitors. The events launched after Al Ftor where the visitors had arrived to enjoy these Omani heritages and traditions that Municipality concerns to organize and highlights to the Omani successive generations through adding a renewable civilized touch taking into account the features and old expressions.
Child Village Theatre
Theatre of Child village at Qurum Natural Park witnessed a night combined with place magnificence, children sweetness and manifestations of the blessed night where Administration of Information and External Relations of Muscat Municipality organized the celebration in Alqrnakecoh in cooperation with Mukhaini Foundation for Concerts and Events organization. The shows of event was characterized by combination of excitement, fun and recreational competitions.
The shows of Alqrnakecoh event included small awareness plays of humorous nature and competitions for young and old people in all different cultural and scientific fields which are about historical characters such as scientists, literary figures, poets and Omani intellectuals, ancient Omani historic cities and their archaeological sites and prominent cultural landmarks. The shows also included drawing on faces of children and talents competition. The event included provision of Omani sweets and nuts and wrappers of these occasion in addition to awards and presents to children and youth.
Joy and Hymns
The children gathered and lined up, the youth sang and danced and they covered the ground or they sat on chairs that are put to enable each visitor to see the shows. They wore colored clothes and accessories and wandered the neighborhoods singing the eternal memories hymn.
This hymn continued throughout the life of each child of people of Sultanate who keep their heritage after they assigned it to musical bands such as (Al-Salam Band) and traditional bands such as (Al-Mesalia) to remain warbling to awake the childhood in the people and intimate memory!
Yesterday, the memories were reminded in the corners of gardens of Muscat, the breezes spread in a full night moon and another new meaning of childhood beauty was draw. Also the gardens were full of joy and breezes.
Mutrah Celebrates
The Awareness and Guidance Office in Muscat at Mutrah Al- Kubra organized a party for this occasion at building of Omani Woman Association at Muscat (Muscat Branch- Sadab District) within a banquet of surprises. The attendees of the event were of different ages. The events included a Alqrnakecoh show in which a group of children are gathered wearing Omani traditional clothes, wandering the stage and celebrating place and carrying stones and knocking on them while singing the eternal memories hymn as well as they organize wrapping of presents and candies.
All the families and visitors covered all chairs of Theatre to follow up the events of Alqrnakecoh. The nigh included shows for children, excited play concerning importance of celebration of this night and cultural competitions between teams formed from children and public.
Then, there were funny competitions and shows presented by a group of youth and children which pleased the attendees. During the event, there were awareness and recreational competitions that were involved with playing of folk music and distribution of various presents and candies.
