Appointing (15) Specialist in Occupational Safety and Health Fields
Muscat Municipality executes (NEBOSH) Program for two weeks

Administration of Planning and Training in Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with National Training Center in Safeer Plaza Hotel, , Al Khuwair, hold a training program in fields of occupational safety and health (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) NEBOSH with participation of (15) employees from various units of Muscat Municipality whose work nature related to fields of occupational safety and health in order to obtain IGC. The program launched at the beginning of this week will continue to 5th of the following month.
NEBOSH Program is considered as an international program in basic safety and health fields which is designed for managers, engineers and divisions heads in order to gain the proficiency necessary for managing the occupational safety and health in work and prevent and avoid risks so as to avoid any damage may be occurred due to negligence or unawareness concerning control mechanism of these risks appropriately through sensing and recognizing risks and address them as well as through application of principles of concepts of health and safety and control of risks in workplace and practical application of knowledge.
The approach of course focuses on risk management approach and relies on the best international practices and rules applicable in International Labour Organization (ILO) and NEBOSH which is divided into three units, each unit is estimated separately. The three units are managing of international safety and health (IGC), control of risks of international workplaces (IGC2) and practical application in international safety and health (IGC2).
The target of the program is the development and improvement significantly to promote health, safety and environment and to spread the awareness. The program will lead to practice works and functions safely. It also reflects a positive image for employees.
