Muscat Municipality executes “Integrated Management for Solid Wastes” Program
Today, the Planning and Training Administration in Muscat Municipality will conclude the Program of “integrated management for solid wastes” with participation of 28 employees from various units and directorates of Municipality who are working in sectors of hygiene and health affairs. The Program lasted for three days.
The Program included an introduction concerning main concepts and terms of household wastes, plan of wastes management, elements of integrated management for solid wastes, types of household wastes, collecting and sorting systems, analysis of waste, transport services and its conditions and specifications, manufacturing plants and their types, methods of disposal and treatment, industrial security and other topics that are in connection with wastes.
Moreover, a group of global successful experiments in this sector will be represented and video clips of modern equipment and transport mechanisms will be displayed.
