Muscat Municipality continues the execution of Project of Al-Forosya two-way road and the related roads in Seeb province. The percentage of Project accomplishment is 72% approximately. It is expected to finish this Project in the middle of the next year. The Road has been designed and constructed according to the latest engineering measures and standards and the international technical specifications in the field of roads.

Currently, the final works of concrete constructions of the new bridge connecting the main street with Al-Forosya Street between Al-Khod Intersection and Palace Roundabout are executed in order to reduce the traffic congestion and find other accesses for those who are going to Seeb Market and northern areas of Seeb province.
The intersection point was chosen to suit connection of Seeb public Road and Al-Forosya Street in the north with Al-Khod Street – Almabalh (Al-Salam Street) to serve Almabalh District in the south and to facilitate the traffic between the north and south. It occurs within the framework of the plans of Muscat Municipality in order to solve the traffic jams in all areas of the City as Seeb province witnesses a steady increase in the traffic in the province streets, especially the traffic coming from and going to Seeb Market and the surrounding areas.

The Project includes the construction of a bridge on Seeb Street with approximately (100 m.) long to serve the traffic coming from Al-Forosya Street and heading to Muscat as well as traffic coming from Al Batinah and heading to Al-Forosya Street. Entrance and exit for Al-Forosya Street from and to Seeb Street will be provided as per the current situation. Also, a two-way road will be constructed between this intersection and Al-Khod Street - Almabalh (Al-Salam Street) in the south and Al-Forosya two-way road in the north till the entrance of Seeb Market. Service roads will be constructed at Al-Salam Street and connecting road with the new intersection to facilitate ingress and egress to the surrounding areas.
The Project involves the works of afforestation and gardening through making different engineering Islamic formations of flowers bouquet of harmonic colors and trees planted in a balanced and regular way inside the turning spaces of the intersection, aligning the new bridges, and adding the aesthetic touches. The side spaces will be decorated with green surfaces, and seasonal flowers, and they will be planted with palm trees.
Through these service and vital projects in Seeb areas, the Municipality aims at improving and enhancing the efficiency of the traffic movement and its smooth flow in all circumstances as these areas witnesses a high traffic movement considering that they are overlooking Sultan Qaboos Main Street, in alignment with Muscat Highway, and near Seeb Market, commercial and residential areas that witness a significant urban development and investment activity.
