Public Affairs of Muscat Municipality Discusses Scarceness of Parking areas and Water Transfer Controls.

Yesterday morning, the Committee of Public Affairs at Municipal Council of Muscat Governorate held its seventh meeting of the first year. The Committee discussed scarceness of parking areas in Muscat Governorate which is considered as one of the most prominent issues that requires setting of controls and solutions to solve its worsening and its adverse affects on residents of neighborhoods and commercial areas goers.
Eng. Khaled El-Hashmi, the Manager of Construction Licenses Administration at Muscat Municipality presented a visual presentation from which he presented this problem, its reasons and impacts, construction controls and laws relating to this regard along with setting of technical and engineering solutions that relate to scarcity of parking areas in the residential areas. The Committee gave a number of recommendations with respect to setting of a package of short and long term solutions according to several stages and in participation with competent concerned authorities.
The Committee of Public Affairs has discussed practical controls of Potable water transfer operations through tanks according to health methods and high efficiency in participation with specialist of Public Authority for Electricity and Water and the Public Authority for Consumer Protection to set controls for such issue that serves various sectors in Muscat governorate.
