Muscat Municipality Signed an Agreement of Construction of Oman Mall at Bosher.
Yesterday, His Excellency Engineer/ Mohsen Bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of Muscat Municipality signed an agreement of construction, development and operating a commercial- touristic mall (Oman Mall) at Bosher with Majid Al Futtaim Group. After signing the Agreement, His Excellency Engineer, the Chairman of the Muscat Municipality has said that the execution of the project is one of the plans of the governorate to encourage and attract the foreign investment to execute projects that have touristic and economic feasibility to citizens, residents and visitors of Muscat. He also added that it is expected that the project will contribute to development of economy of the city and creation of job opportunities to citizens as it is anticipated that about (3500) three thousand and five hundred jobs will be provided after commissioning of the Project according to the plans submitted by the investor.
It is worth mentioning that the execution of the project will be implemented on an area of (15700 m) one hundred five and seventy thousand square meters. The project includes (350) three hundred and fifty commercial shops of different trademarks. It is anticipated that the project will be accomplished in 2017 according to the Schedule submitted by the investor. Gorge Costas, the Executive Chairman of the Real Estate Development of the Group has signed the Agreement on behalf of Majid Al Futtaim Group.
Muscat Municipally aims to promote entertainment and shopping places in the city though establishing this project where Oman Mall is considered as the biggest commercial mall in Oman which contributes to promote shopping and entertainment system in the city.
