On Monday morning, the Municipal Council held its first meeting in the second year under the chairmanship of HE Eng. Mohsen bin Mohammed bin Ali Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality and the former Chairman of the Council. A number of topics on its agenda is planned for discussion, most prominently the allocation of beach seatings for the elderly in certain attractions and parks, and the exclusion of sewage septic tanks from preventing traffic of trucks during rush hours. The Council will also review the recommendations of the panel formed to study the proposal for the establishment of the Child Municipal Council in Muscat, along with a number of letters addressed to the concerned authorities regarding the schemed enclaves in Sifah area in Muscat, the allocation of lands for Indian schools, and the water treatment plant project in Misfat area in Baucher.

 

Furthermore, the visual presentation, provided by Oman Environmental Services Holding Company about its efforts and future plans. The Management of Muscat Festival will also deliver a visual presentation about the events and activities of the Festival in 2014. The minutes of the previous meeting of the Council will be approved and the actions taken for putting it into operation will be reviewed..
