Today, at 7:30 P.M. H.E. Eng. Mohsen bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, Inaugurates the International Exhibition for Crafts and Traditional Arts in Al-Amerat Public Park in the presence of a number of ambassadors from the participating countries, M\S the officials of Muscat Municipality and some members of the Municipal Council of Muscat.
The event continues until February 22, with the participation of over 200 craftsmen coming from Arab and non-Arab Countries (Latin America, Europe, Central Asia, Far East and African countries)
Muscat Municipality organizes this Exhibition in coordination with the embassies of the participating countries. The International Exhibition for Crafts and Traditional Arts is a vivid window through which diverse types of arts, heritage and human creativity are wonderfully exhibited. This can be clearly seen through the tremendous care the organizing committee gives to the organization of heritage events which are considered a part and parcel of peoples` history. Furthermore, the Exhibition is a golden opportunity for craftesmen as it allows them to exhibit their innovative and creative artistic skills in different fields, such as carpets, traditional clothes, crafts, architecture, pottery, metal objects, textiles painintings as well as many other fields of creativity.
