Muscat Municipality: Installation of automatically operated water closets in vital places Distinguished with self cleansing and available for all users against (50) Baisa per 20 minutes

In the context of the Keenness of Muscat Municipality to develop public facilities in Muscat governorate, the municipality begun the installation of public automatically operated water closets that is available to all users, including those with special needs, which have been designed by the famous French designer Patrick Joanne. it will be operated by a company JCDecaux Oman, which is considered the world`s Leader in roads furniture .
Where the installation of the first automatically operated water closet has completed in Al Qarm beach Near Grand Hyatt Hotel more units will be installed in various parts of the city especially in the main touristic areas and vital public places within the coming period.
The new water closets featured with good lighting, HVAC, and automatic cleaning and disinfection system that is activated after each use to ensure the highest levels of hygiene in addition to a sank, soap, and hand dryer; a strict maintenance system will be applied to meet international standards for health and safety in order to provide better service to the public so that user enjoys incomparable use, convenience, and safety conditions that is achieved because of high technology used in the automatic cleaning system.

These facilities are featured with easy operation through insertion of coin equals (50) Baisa in the allocated box near the entrance to the water closet, immediately after insertion of the coin the door is opened automatically, as soon as the user enters it is automatically closed and can be opened by pressing the red button water closet or by using the door handle for emergencies. The usage period has been determined to be not more than 20 minutes, if the user stayed therein he will be alerted to get out through high sounds and bright lights before the door opens automatically, and after the user left the water closet the door closes for (55) seconds of the automatic cleaning includes washing the toilet, sink, and ground then sanitized and dried by air)).
