Within the Campaign of enrooting Concepts of maintenance of Environment and Public Facilities
Muscat Municipality Cleans Bawshar Beaches by the participation of more than 550 Volunteer

More than 550 volunteer of all ages participated in the campaign of cleaning Bawshar Province beaches organized by Directorate General of Muscat Municipality in Bawshar on Saturday yesterday morning by cooperation with members of Municipal Council representatives of the province starting Crown Plaza Hotel until the end of Al Athaiba Region.
Where the campaign started at 9:00 AM from 3 locations as meeting points for the participants: In front of Jawharat Al Shate` Complex at Al Qarm, in front of Fishes Market in Al Ghabra, and in Al Athaiba Park, where the Environment Society of Oman, Clean Up Oman Society, Shabab Cultural Sports Team, Ghala Cultural Sports Team, Al Mareekh Team, Tomouh Team, Al Athaiba Cultural Sports Team, and Hilal Cultural Sports Team have participated in the campaign in addition to number of visitors of the beach.
The participants during this campaign cleaned up the beaches, and disposed marine wastes, leftovers, remnants of trees, malformed matters, garbage, solid wastes, and paper wastes.
The campaign aims at educating groups of young people and promote environmental awareness of the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the beaches, disposing of wastes and leftovers in its allocated places, and adhering to signboards and the instructions for maintaining cleanliness, facilities, and public property in addition to propagate environmental awareness among different segments of society.
Mohammed bin Saif Al Hinai, Director of the Department of Health Affairs in Directorate General of Muscat Municipality in Bawsher demonstrated that: "This campaign, which carried the slogan of Bawsher`s Shores is our resort" and was attended by a nice number of volunteers of both sexes highlighted the role of community members and organizations involved in promoting volunteer work and fruitful participation through cooperation and bestowal aims at advancing common tasks and duties towards this dear homeland. The Directorate devoted all efforts and capabilities in order to achieve the desired success of this campaign because of the constant output in establishing the concept of concern, and the preservation of places, parks and beautiful beaches that abound in Governorate of Muscat".
He added: "The Directorate has coordinated and made previous preparations with collaborating bodies and teams to participate in the campaign and provide various supplies as shirts, caps, Pick-up garbage, trash bags , gloves, snacks, and beverages, and provide supporting personnel and vehicles of transporting wastes; this has been done through stages of several and intense preparations to start this campaign like designing logos, putting billboards bearing phrases purposeful phrases and a number of pamphlets and publications that serve the campaign. the work has been divided on several teams and distributed along the beaches from the Crown Plaza Hotel at east to the end of Al Athaibah Beach at west to clean those all locations in even distribution".
Mohammed Al Hinai, members of the Municipal Council representatives of Bawshar Province, and supervisors of the campaign thanked all the participants in this campaign and urged them to pay more attention to the preservation of the environment and the beaches, and focused on continuous coordination and cooperation in organizing such campaigns and others in vital places.
In this regard, Muscat Municipality renewed its call for all about the necessity to maintain the cleanliness of places make the city green and clean at all times to be always gorgeous and modern.
