Muscat Municipality honors (324) employees of the proficient, who has long service and the retired

Recently, H.E. Eng. Mohsen bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, paid attention to the honoring ceremony of 324 male/female employees
of the proficient, who has long service, retired, organizing officials and supervisors to Muscat Festival 2014 from various directorates, units and departments of the Municipality.

HE Eng has delivered a speech in which he expressed his pleasure and the municipality`s celebration of this group of people, who exerted efforts in the fields of Municipal work, stressing the desire of the Municipality to develop the capacity of its human resources and directing to exert more effort and tender to provide the best services for the city .
Then the sponsor of the ceremony distributed certificates and bonuses to employees, the honoring included a category of the long services for 2013 amounting (18) employees and ( 4 ) employees of 2012, and a category of retirees amounting (18) retired, honoring (184) proficient divided in to four segments proficiency in work of 2013, and honoring of (100) of organizing officials and supervisors responsible for Muscat Festival .


Dr. Abdul Hakim bin Ahmed Al Farsi, Director of Administrative Studies at Muscat Municipality, Committee of stimulation and honoring, referred to that the annual honoring ceremony comes as a result of the attention paid by senior management at the Diwan of Royal Court in general and Muscat Municipality in particular, to human resources as one of the main pillars in the production process, where stimulation plays influential role in increasing the morale and achieving job satisfaction, hence improving performance and productivity rates.

In this context, the approval of the stimulation and honoring system arose of Muscat Municipality staff by HE. Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, where the introduction of this system started in September 2012, and subsequently a Committee of stimulation and honoring was formed in Muscat Municipality and headed by HE. Eng. Chairman of Muscat Municipality. The Commission has undertaken an important role in laying the foundations, rules and procedural controls of honoring and stimulation, where the executive guide was issued for honoring and stimulation system in Muscat Municipality in April of last year, which included seven chapters dealing with the objectives and categories of stimulation, the administrative foundations, rules, procedures, forms and models organizing the process of staff nomination of the different stimulation categories. he executive guide includes six categories for stimulation, which are: Stuff category with long service, staff category proficient in rehabilitation, proficiency category (outstanding) in the fields of work, proficient category in the performance, category of the owners of initiatives and constructive proposals, in addition to the category of foreign participations.

Dr. Abdul Hakim Al Farsi indicated that this system aims to achieve a number of objectives set by the stimulation and honoring system and the executive guide of the system, most notably is honoring employees who have spent thirty years or more in service, stimulating proficient employees, encouraging employees to introduce initiatives, creativity and innovation in working methods, as well as encouraging staff to develop and expand their knowledge and skills by encouraging the proficient in the rehabilitation and completing the graduate studies. In addition to other objectives which the system seeks to achieve, the most important is rasing the rates of performance, improving productivity and achieving job satisfaction by creating a balanced and stimulating work environment of creativity, innovation and proficiency in performing the tasks and job duties.

The male and female employees, who are included in the honor, expressed their deep pleasure with renewing the covenant to serve the nation faithfully and with dedication, continuous contribution to upgrade the work and provide more and fruitful productivity through which the objectives, plans and service projects are achieved .
