Muscat Municipality continues the implement South Al Mabelah intersections of Muscat highway
• Creating free paths serving the region and raising the efficiency of traffic .
• Expanding the bridge leading to the cemetery and paving a road linking Al Khod village to Seih Al Hadf village

Muscat Municipality, represented by the Directorate General of Roads, continues the implementation of free intersections establishment project on Muscat highway in South Al Mabelah. Since this project includes the establishment of a new intersection toward the east of the fourth region in Al Mabelah and establishment of free entrances and exits to and from Muscat highway. This intersection will be linked to a double road to Al Salam Street (Al Khod Road, Al Mabelah ).
The project also includes the preparation of the bridge leading to South Al Mabelah cemetery by expanding the bridge and developing free new entrances and exits, in addition a road that links Al Khod village (the country) to Seih Al Hadf village across the Al Khod valley will be paved and the establishment of box culverts and a network for water drainage of Al Khod valley. Hopefully the project will be completed by the 1st half of next year 2015 A.D.
This project will provide additional entrances and exits for residents of South Al Mabelah in addition to the entrances and exits which are currently exist across intersection No. (12) of Muscat highway as well as across Al Salam Street
( Al Mabelah - Al Khod) and Al-Seeb main street .
The project, when completed, will contribute in enhancing the efficiency of the road and working on growing the traffic flow in the region and shorten the distances, and what shall be resulted of this of the positive yield in light of the development of urban and economic movement in the region and the existence of new schemes and residential neighborhoods with high density .
The implementation of this project by Muscat Municipality comes in response to the claims of inhabitants to establish new paths for the road which result in easing the traffic jams that the vehicles drivers are suffered from in Al Mabelah region and its neighborhood of vital areas .
