Muscat Municipality Participates with a Variety of Digital Services at COMEX

Today, Muscat Municipality participates in the E-government Services Exhibition2014 associated with COMEX Exhibition for Information Technology and Communication Services with a system of multi-digital electronic services that the Municipality is replete with as it seeks to have an electronic transformation in the various fields of service work, and to reinforce the electronic technologies and projects that facilitate the procedures and save beneficiaries` time and effort.

The participation of Muscat Municipality includes setting up a pavilion for identifying the electronic projects, most notably the system of legalizing the electronic construction, lease renewal service, electronic parking reservation operated with SMS service, e-payment using bank cards, transactions inquiry service via SMS, payment of parking fines via the Internet, self-service for beneficiaries via the e-mail of Muscat Municipality, Muscat i system, the digital transformation plan to serve the electronic linking between the government institutions in addition to the other new services that Muscat Municipality will inaugurate during the exhibition.

The Muncipality`s Pavilion is located near to the main entrance of the showroom, and is set on an area of 27 square meters divided into three parts and provided with all the equipment needed for the participation such as modern display screens laptop computers, an interactive display screen and decorations and designs that reflect the size of the participation. In addition, the pavilion is equipped with various informative and illustrative means thanks to the participation of specialized technical staff from the Municipality.. Muscat Call Center (1111) participates with the aim of identifying its role and efforts in providing the beneficiaries with services through the various channels of communication: Web pages, chat rooms, e-mail, fax mail and voice mail.

The participation also includes a review of the features provided by the Center to public beneficiaries, and an explanation of the workflow path, channels of communication, the mechanisms of operating communication controller, and an illustration of statistics for incoming reports, as well as the future plans and visions of the center.

The Department of Municipal Geographic Information System also participates in the pavilion to highlight its projects on geographic applications, most notably Muscat Explorer, the interactive map of Muscat Governorate, the buildings program and other details that await visitors to find out.

The Municipality also provides a daily competition that asks questions about the services of the municipal work on the website of Muscat Municipality. Valuable prizes have been allocated for the winners with a question asked each day for five days. Questionnaires enabling visitors and those interacting with the pavilion of the Municipality to win a valuable prize will be made.
