Participation of 150 Students and Production of More Than 300 Works
Closing the Activities of Bait Al Branda Summer with Artistic Works
On Yesterday, Sunday morning the summer events of Bait Al Branda were concluded under the patronage of Khalid bin Mohammed Behram Assistant Chairman of Muscat Municipality for Services Affairs. Officials of the Municipality were attending therein in addition to large gathering of participating children, parents, and supervisory teachers where the summer programme lasted for two weeks full of creations and innovations.
The closing ceremony included a tour with the exhibition to see the achievements of participants and their artistic works, and then the patron of the ceremony honored the supervisors and students who were excellent in technical workshops and children who have participated over the years in the activities of Bait Al Barnda.
The artistic works of the children were exhibited in two halls included more than 300 piece of art contains variety in design and color and the way of performance. All participants who are nearly 150 participants participated in one or more work, in addition to group artistic works created by the students.
Khalid bin Mohammed Bahram Assistant Chairman of Muscat Municipality for Services Affairs confirmed that Muscat Municipality was keen since years and for the eighth consecutive year on the presence of Bait Al Branda summer workshops to develop skills, discover hidden talents and fill their leisure time with everything that is new and useful. This exhibition, which contained children`s creations was a good omen and great opportunity embraced and polished young talents and hope that these talents will have great significance in the future in the artistic aspects. We hope to develop these activities in the next workshops and make the same inclusive for greater age groups and be more general to have broader benefit .
Sheikh Mansour bin Suleiman Al Nabhani, Deputy Director of Information and External Relations demonstrated that the workshop of this summer in Bait Al-Branda was featured with adding creative artistic touches and choosing the areas of modern art that suit the preferences of participants and their age where there are a renewal of the contents that contained artistic paintings, plastic works, and hand made products reflected the spirit of innovation and creativity in using materials to produce aesthetic innovative works of new character. This summer is also distinguished with attracting greater numbers of children and participants when compared to previous years. The selection of supervisors is made pursuant to scientific principles and technical expertise, and thanks to Allah, we see that the objectives of this summer forum were achieved on theoretical and applied aspects. This is the result of cooperation and time dedicated to provide participants with additional knowledge and expertise and help them to invest their time with benefit and interest .
