Muscat Municipality begins early preparations for Muscat Festival 2015, offering bids, discussing new suggestions in terms of form and content
In the framework of early preparations for the events of the Muscat Festival 2015, the event organizing committee, headed by assistant of Municipality Chairman for Services Affairs has laid down the vision and activities of the event`s next round, taking into account presenting the festival with new and enjoyable content and form.
The committee started its preparatory meetings in March, attended by number of officials from Muscat municipality, ministries of tourism and culture and heritage, and General Authority for Crafts.
Other meetings have been held with number of representatives for some ministries, governmental authorities, and civil associations in a bid to win participation of largest possible number of interested sectors in the sultanate.
Seeking the satisfaction of desire of a wide section of festival-goers and the needs of different categories in the society, the preparatory committee has decided different and variable number of activities and events. Permanent activities such as heritage village, international village, and entertaining arts park are planned to be introduced with new features in terms of content, while other new events are planned to be with enjoyable culturing, entertaining, sporting mood. In addition, some artistic and culturing exhibitions specialized in different fields will be organized.
Meanwhile, entertaining activities for children will be among festival`s events, including number of plays, and Culturing and educational corners for children in the family and children villages.
Voices of Omani singers are to serve an impressive attendance in the festival as a matter of support.
The Muscat festival 2015 will be held in January and February, as has been decided by the organizing committee.
