The Main Committee Reviews the Most Important Events of Muscat Festival 2015

The Main Organizational Committee of Muscat Festival 2015, held yesterday its first meeting under presidency of his Excellency/ Eng. Mohsen bin Mohammed Al Shiekh, President of Muscat Municipality and chairman of the committee, in presence of number of municipal officers, representative of several concerned governomental authorities, and chairmen of sub-committees and supporting groups, where the committee reviewed the most important events, activities, and visions submitted by the Preparatory Committee organizing the festival previously formulated.
The committee approved the period stipulated to hold the next session to be during the period from January 15th until February 14th of the next year as such period is the same period of the vacation of educational institutions. The Festival will be held At Al Amerat Public Park, Al Naseem Public Park, in addition to number of other sites that will host the event. The members of the committee asserted the importance of this cultural event for being among the forehead cermonies of the country`s forty-fifth National Day emboding therein the march of Omani renaissance under leadership of His Royal Highness Sultan Qaboos bin Said, may Allah protect him, bring him back full of health and wellness and grant him blessed long life.
The Committee reviewed number of events that will be held in the next session of the festival including the Heritage Village with its different environments and exihibitions, The International Exihibition of Crafts and Traditional Arts, events of Laser and Bazzeling Shows, Circus and Fields shows, different events dedicated to the family and children, comsumption and commercial exihibtions, pavilions of small and medium enterprises, intellectual and cultural evenings, Tour of Oman in its sixths session, sports events, singing concerts, plays and artisitc and specialized exhibitions, participation of private and governmental bodies, and several competitions that will be held in the festival. The Committee also reviewed the progress of the bids offered in this regard as part of it was approved, others are subject to procedures, reoffering or offering soon.
The Committee confirmed that they exert more efforts to make the festival glorious, attracts the attention of all age groups and tastes, and fulfills the audience aspirations.
Muscat Festival is a significant social, touristic, cultural, and recreational event and deemed pronimant station for touristic attraction on the Arabian and international
map due to large numbers that present the festival and follow its events locally and regionally.
