Muscat Municipality trains the heads of divisions on specifying training needs

The heads of divisions and their deputies from the different directorates and units of Muscat Municipality participate in the training program (specifying training needs and ways of choosing the training programs and trainees) held by the Department of Planning and Training in the Municipality in cooperation with Al Aoubthani 4 training services for ten hours divided on 2 days. The program includes four groups of trainees and lasts until 24th of this month.
The program intends to provide the participants with the most important key bases and principles enabling them to specify the training needs of the institutions, design the training programs according to the needs by using the latest models and specify the functional competencies and appropriate training programs.
The program includes also a number of key elements depended on the functional perspective through which the participants are acquainted with the training concept, needs. The program also intends to determine the requirements of the job like the functional competencies. This program leads to enabling the participants to specify the performance gaps and so specifying the appropriate training programs and participants` skills to be developed. It will also provide the participants with the skills required to estimate the training programs costs and prepare their budgets.
The program will also address the elements related to specifying the appropriate time line of the training programs and choosing the appropriate candidates to the programs using prioritization. Moreover, it will specify the way of evaluating the trainees using the scientific levels.
