Muscat Municipality launches a program called "Cultivating the seasonal flowers"
The Department of Planning and Training launches in cooperation with Public Authority for Afforestation and Gardens in the Muscat Municipality a program called "Cultivating the seasonal flowers" with the participation of the technicians and specialists in the Public Authority for Afforestation and Gardens in Al Maha club of the Municipality with applications and practical sessions and visits to some agricultural sites in the Municipality
The engineer, Mubarak b. Muhamed Al Shkheily, the assistant manager of planning and agricultural studies of plantations, clarified in this session that the elements highlight the importance of planting the seasonal plants, developing the capabilities of the supervisors who have direct relationship with planting the seasonal flowers whether in the plantations, the agricultural sites, parks and public squares. The program focuses on developing the suitable solutions for the common habits in the plating ways and maintaining the flowers through the different seasons, from the planting in the plantations through planting in sites and to the end of the season, for achieving the desired goals to get better results in the next season.
The engineer, Mubarak b. Muhamed Al Shkheily, clarified that the activities of this session has different dimensions, the most important elements: Ways of planting the seasonal flowers in the city and knowing its types, the practical training of ways of planting the seeds in the plantation, way of transferring the seeds from the plantations to the agricultural sites, knowing the planting ways using the planting machines, transferring and mixtures , and knowing the vessels, the tools used in planting and its Importance. Besides, knowing the most important Insecticide, the suitable ways of irrigations, the importance of preparing the soil and fertilizing the agricultural sites, and knowing the most infections caused by insects to flowers and the ways to take protection against.
In relation to new in this filed, the engineer Mubarak b.
