Next Saturday .. Muscat Municipality launches “My environment is my identity” campaign
On the occasion of celebrating the World Environment Day, Muscat Municipality, represented by the Administration of Awareness and Guidance of the General Directorate in Al-Seeb, launches next Saturday a cleanliness and afforestation campaign entitled “My environment is my identity” which comes as a part of the Administration’s plans and priorities that focus on awareness and educational aspects that help start the environmental activities which aim to promote the values of a clean environment and raise the level of cleanliness to maintain the beauty of the region and spread the green areas.
The works of the campaign are divided into two sections, the first of which is cleanliness which aim to clear the beaches of Al-Seeb from all pollutants, remove all quandaries and clean the neighborhoods and streets of the state. Furthermore, the campaign teams will distribute saplings on citizens.
Part of the campaign is to distribute awareness booklets that urge the citizens to maintain the cleanliness and public property as well as introducing awareness messages that emphasize the need to care for the environment and keep it clean and uncontaminated. The establishment of an awareness exhibition at Al-Sahwa Parks is also a part of the campaign. The exhibition will include a photo gallery that displays the works executed by the campaign so far, in addition to projecting samples of the materials that can be recycled, and informing visitors of the importance of recycling and what household materials can be recycled.
