The great Muttrah municipality destroys 397kgs materials unsuitable for consumption and closes 12 shops
in the great Muttrah state, Muscat municipality destroyed 397kg of addle unsuitable for human consumption food material which included 283kgs of different food products, 72 kgs of meat and poultry and 35kgs of fruits and vegetablesin addition to destroying 23 Liters of soft drinks, beauty products all through 1011 inspection patrols and constant follow ups that were applied on shops involved in public health and food industry. 49 violations were discovered, 14 warnings were issued for a number of shops, 12 shops that didn`t apply health standards and didn`t commit to it were closed. That is to apply health rules and regulations by violators and to confirm the necessity to apply health and professional standards.
the inspection department in the municipality received 15 reports about health notes in commercial shops in the state, that were handled in accordance to the local order related to protection of public health and the violations done by these shops. in addition to that, (30) samples were sent to the municipality of Muscat to run tests on them to ensure the edibility of the products shown in shops.
