His highness Engineer/ Mohsen Ben Mohamed AlSheikh - Head of the municipality of Muscat hosted a celebration of honoring (576) Employees (Men and women) for the third time to honor the efficient, long-serving and retired employees from different managements, units, municipality administrations ... and it took place in "Al Wahat" Club.
His highness also praised the efforts of the leading employees from different levels of honors, and the efforts made by the retired employees throughout their journey of municipal work, adding that retirement is not the end of self-accomplishment, but the beginning of it and of volunteer, charity work and knowledge... wishing the retired and long-serving employees a long and happy life. The importance of this celebration lies in supporting reward as a main catalyst and motive to hard work and in appreciating the devotion of employees whom we wish them continuous success. His highness also assured the dedication of the municipality to the development of the it`s human resources as one of the main pillars in boosting professional morale and accomplishing professional satisfaction, and hence improving productivity level, encouraging making more effort an dedication to the offer the best we can and keeping up with the new technological systems in the municipality.

His highness also commented on the ways of improving work in the municipality of Muscat, to fit the urban expansion and increase of population, and to dedicate the efforts to maintain a clean and modern environment. in the same subject his highness declared launching a massive campaign cleanliness that applies for all states of Muscat governrate, in which all out efforts and resources must be used to make it successful, assuring that this campaign will be the first of many cleanliness periodical campaigns that aim to improving the aesthetic sense of the urban and residential areas and public spaces all around the capital.
The host handed the certificates and rewards to employees. Long-serving employees were rewarded for the year 2014 and they were (49) employees, as well as the retired employees who were (16).Also, the committee has rewarded (200) employees earlier the exceptional professional performance to (300) employee, and giving motivating (311) hard-working employees.
The rewarding system in the municipality has a detailed guide that includes the goals of the rewards, its categories, foundations, rules, procedures and administration form of the nominations process. he executive guide includes six categories for stimulation, which are: Categories are; long-serving employees, high qualification employees, exceptional professional performance, high performance, employees with initiatives and constructive suggestions and also the reward for outsiders contributions. This system aims to achieving a set of goals that has been determined by the system of reward, encouragements and executive guide of the system, most importantly to honor employees who have spent more than 30 years in service, encouraging hard working employees, encourage employees` creativity to come up with initiatives for improving work processes and encourage employees to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills by encouraging high qualified employees to finish their post-graduate studies. Along with other goals that the system aims to achieve, most important among which are raising performance level, improving productivity and creating professional satisfaction by creating a professional environment that encourages creativity, innovation, hard work and professional sincerity.
