Muscat municipality disposes more than 10000 ton of solid waste in Muttrah and Al Amerat
Muscat Municipality has increased the efforts to dispose construction wastes, trees and garbage from sides of roads, residential districts, courts, public spaces and different sites in Muttrah and Al Amerat states.That was part of the comprehensive cleaning campaign launched by the municipality to cover all states of Muscat governrate throughout the year to raise the level of cleanliness in the city as well as its aesthetic value and increase general awareness of the healthy habits of disposing wastes and the laws and municipal systems related to protection of public health.
The general directorate of Miscat municipality in great Muttrah has implemented the process of leveling gravel in the coastal road in Al Ensharah site, compact it with dust, leveling dust and gravel, cut and move the coastal trees that ruin the overall view of Al Seefa area. In addition to that, the municipality worked on widening the path of the valley, remove the wastes that have been thrown and cut trees and weed growing in the path of Al Wadi Al Kabeer area. Also the municipality removed concrete and worked on leveling gravel and dust and removed the trees in Yanket, Seefa, Al Khairan, Haramel areas as well as leveling the proctection dam of Seefa. the campaign resulted in disposing more than 356 ton of construction wastes, gravel and concrete and 168 ton of tree waste from the mentioned sites.
in Al Amerat, The municipality also continued disposing wastes resulting from bringing down illegal constructions and maintaining residential and trade areas and public roads and down the valleys of Al Amerat heights, first, second area, Al Duql andAl Bagrya. the equipment shipped 438 ships to landfills. monitoring departments increased their efforts to spot violations and found 34 violation of throwing construction wastes done by contractors this month.
