The public affairs of Muscat Municipality reviews the organization of scrap trucks roaming in the residential districts and the practice of Quad biking

Yesterday, The Public Affairs Committee of Muscat Municipality held its seventh meeting of the third year for the first period under the Chairmanship of Malik bin Hilal Yahmadi and in the presence of representatives of Muscat Municipality, Royal Oman Police and Ministry of Manpower. The committee discussed the proposal for the organization of scrap trucks roaming in the residential districts by providing the negative impact of this effect such as the nuisance of trucks. Some of the trucks` drivers enter the house arenas and construction regions without permission of their owners, besides note that some of these drivers are runaway workers. In view of this, the current situation requires setting permissions to prevent scrap trucks roaming in the residential districts.
Also, the committee discussed that it should locate places for the public toilets which are one of the basic requirements and service in urban cities, this service needs interest and protection from the abusers. The members pointed that the private sector should participate in the investments in this matter to ensure these facilities safe and healthy according to the structural controls, besides its participation in some critical locations.
The committee reviews quad biking places because it has risks, makes nuisance by its loud sounds and affects the safety of people and its riders. Therefore, it is necessary to allocate laces in Muscat Municipality for this kind of hobbies by providing security and safety controls to avoid the damage and accidents of it.
Finally, the committee concluded its meeting by referring to the importance of public graves and its regulation; it has taken the necessary recommendations of the offered issues to be presented to the Municipal Council.
