The main committee of Muscat festival 2016 reviews preparations and the most important activities
The main committee of Muscat Festival 2016 held its first meeting under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Eng/ Mohsen bin Mohamed Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of Muscat Municipality and the committee in the presence of the official members of Municipality, the concerned government agencies and the heads of committees. It approved that the date of the next session of Muscat Festival 2016 will be from 14 January to 13 February coinciding with half- term holidays for Schools, Academic and Educational Institutions.
The committee reviewed during the meeting, the preparatory committee perception for the festival which will include the most important and carefully activities and programs of the next session to match with the various segments and age categories of the community. The festival will hold in the Public Garden Al-Naseem and Al-Amerate, in addition to a number of other places such as Al-Heel beach in Al-Seeb state, Oman Automobile Association and others.
Also, the next sessions of the Festival will witness many diverse activities that take into account the entertainment, cultural, artistic, awareness, athletic and shopping aspects through the consumption and trade exhibitions, in addition to the Heritage Village with its various environments which reflects the Omani Society Values and its civilization and cultural covenantal , besides Tour of Oman at its seventh session, sporting events, dedicated events for the family and child and the participation of small and medium enterprises, government and private agencies.
The committee discussed and expected the general budget of the festival in its next session, besides the discussion of the approved tenders to be relaunched and conducted, it confirmed the importance of Muscat Festival to enhance the Sultanate as a tourist destination and define the visitors and heritage through the combination of efforts for the various concerned agencies.
