Muscat Municipality trains the new health inspectors on food control

Muscat Municipality started today the training program entitled "Control of Food and Facility for beginners" for the second group. The program targets rehabilitating and developing the performance of 27 health inspectors newly appointed in Directorates General of Muscat Municipality in all States through 25 training hours over 5 days in the Hall Training of Directorate General of Muscat Municipality in Seeb.

The program aims to supply the new health and food inspectors with the most important skills, scientific and practical experiences required to define them all issues related to their work, health requirements in sanitary food facilities, and the basics of preserving healthy food and its safety from contaminants. The training program also defines the participants with the concept of food safety as well clarify the concept of food poisoning, its causes and prevention methods from it. It also identifies the types of food contaminants and their impact on human health, the participants` responsibilities to maintain food safety, the role of food supervisor, the proper methods for transporting food, waste disposal, sterilization, lesions control and other relevant topics.
