Muscat municipality inspects 115 food establishments in Bousher and destroys about 920 kg of non-edible food

In an attempt to regulate markets, and to ensure health requirments are met, Muscat municipality in Bousher intensifies conducted sudden inspection campaigns to local food establishments in the Wilayah.

The campaign issued 44 health fines and destroyed 920 kilograms of food that is unfit for human consumption. A total of 1567 of cooking utensils were also confiscated. The campaign has also closed 5 shops for violating the health regulations.

Simultaneously, the municipality urges workers to comply with health requirements and to maintain a sanitary condition of their workplace. It also calls on the community to report any violation by contacting the Muscat tel centre at 1111.
