Muscat Municipality Transport Directorate Celebrates the 47th National Day
The General Directorate of Transport in Muscat municipality organized a ceremony on the 47th National Day occasion. The ceremony has included organizing an exhibition of classical cars under the patronage of His Highness Mr. Dhu AlKafl bin Fatik Al-Saeed at the Avenues Mall in Bousher. The exhibition has been attended by some officials staff as well as lovers of classical cars from inside and outside the Sultanate.The aim of the exhibition, which was held in cooperation with the classical automotive team in the Sultanate, was to shed light on the development of the classical automotive industry and open the space for those interested to identify a wholesale of old and rare automobile models in the Sultanate, which dates back to 1904. The exhibition has been attended by nearly 3000 people from various governorates and states of the Sultanate and a number of tourists interested in classical cars.
Furthermore, the Directorate General of Transport in the organized a ceremony under the patronage of H.E. Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi "Wali" of Mutrah, in the presence of Dr. Khaled bin Ali al-Balushi, director General of the General Directorate of Transport and some staff and associates. The ceremony has diversified between poetry poems and national songs blended with feelings of loyalty and gratitude to Oman and its leader, events and activities have been rolled out to include specific paragraphs of school children`s delivery .
Muscat Municipality in all its directorates and administration has set up several celebrations to express the joy of the 47th National Day. It has also organized a competition aimed to involve the community to express their joys on this national occasion.
