Muscat municipality in Grand Mutrah controls random vendors

    To ensure proper application of the local order number (1/2001) in regulating markets, and in an attempt to control random vendors, Muscat municipality in Grand Mutrah and by the Urban inspection department carried out some sudden inspection campaigns to monitor random vendors.

The campaign resulted in issuing a number of 18 fines against unauthorized mobile vendors practice unlicensed activities, in unhealthy manner. About (913) kilos of rotten vegetables, (209) kilos of fish, and  (1015) kilos of fruits were confiscated.

    It is worth to mention that Muscat municipality intensifies it inspection campaigns in the governorate; to ensure regulations are complied and that health and safety is maintained.

     Muscat municipality urges traders and the community to adhere to the health requirements, and invites the community to communicate any queries regarding illegal practices through the toll-free number (1111) or through its accounts on social media.
