Muscat municipality pays more care to public parks and afforestation in Muscat governorate
One of the magnificent roles played by Muscat municipality is to take care of and build more green landscapes in the governorate. Muscat has about 147 parks in all the Willayahs of Muscat.
Al-Qurm Natural Park
The total area of the park of al-Qurm park is 1718657 m2, and is the largest park in the governorate of Muscat. al-Qurm park include a fun center for children, games, a restaurant and other services.
As`Sahwa park
As`Sahwa park is located in As`Seeb. It hosts the majority of residents and tourists.
An`Naseem Park
The total area of al-Naseem park is726140 m2, 82905 m2 of it is green. The Park has a large number of palm trees.
Ar`Riyam park
Ar`riyam park is situated on a mountainous area overlooking the sea alongside the cornich of Mutrah, which forms a beautiful picture. The total area of Ar`Riyam is 75291m2, 40276 of which is green landscaped. The park has about 230 trees.
Kalbooh park:
Kalbooh park is situated in the willayah of Mutrah. It is about 27452 m2, and contain about 83 types of palm trees.
al-Amirat public park:
The total area of al-Amirat park is 1013603 m2, and contain about 422 of trees, shrubs, palms, in addition to a number of facilities such as cafes and prayer rooms.
Qurayyat park:
Park is a village in the outskirts of Muscat, features posted green, and a variety of trees and hedges, plant tubs and roses that create an aroma in the Office of the predominantly calm by virtue of the quiet city away from the heart of Muscat, about 80 kilometers, the focus of the design of the park to give it something of the reality of the heart of the village that are characterized by a great diversity of geographical combines sea and mountain and easy.
A public park in Al-Koud area
Muscat municipality has signed an agreement with Muscat Bank to build a public park in al-Khoud area on a 15 thousands m2. The park will include a playground for children, 6-A-side footbal field, prayer rooms and a one kilometer walkway with 3 meters of width.
