Muscat municipality trains its engineers in the application of GIS for building permits

The Directorate-General for Technical Affairs of Muscat municipality, represented by the Geographic Information Systems administration (GIS), implemented a training programme on "Application of GIS for building permits, which targeted the construction permit management engineers.
The program has aimed to familiarize them with this application and to train them on how to use it in building permit to support decision making.
In addition, enabling them to benefit from the search for buildings, land, monuments and roads easily, and access to the aerial imagery provided by the application to users, as well as the construction phases of the buildings that have been licensed.
The programme has been implemented to optimize and facilitate the work by accessing and utilizing the available geographic data and tools for all individuals on the HTTP://GIS.MM.GOV.OM website.
